Tuesday 30 May- English 9

Pds 1&4- Go over exam project. This will involve MND and include a bit of creativity. You will choose TWO slides to present during the exam period next week. This will be included in your grade for the assignment. Go over Best Summer Ever assignment. This will be one of your favorite assignments of the year!

Pds 2&8- Go over Best Summer Ever assignment. This will be one of your favorite assignments of the year! We will begin video presentations on Friday for pd 8 and Monday next for pd 2.

Turning in your project- English 9

  • Use the assignment link in Classroom. Delete the stuff that I wrote.

  • Make sure everything is on ONE document.

  • Anything that was on paper, take a picture and insert it in your document.

  • You may take pics of long passages instead of copying them.

  • Use section headers to separate the different parts.

  • Works Cited at the end. Be sure the WC includes everything you read and is in proper MLA format.

  • Turn in when you are done.

It’s time for Shakespeare! Let’s start with a bit of introduction to the man and his time. First a short video. And another from my favorite, Mr.Sato.

10 minute Google!- Find as much as you can about Elizabethan England. Put ONE piece of information on the Padlet linked below.

Midsummer Night’s Dream– Set up character chart. There are 3 categories of characters: the Nobles, the Rustics, and the Fairies. Create a graphic organizer with the characters in the play. Divide them into the three categories. You may use paper or the iPad for this.

How to read this Shakespeare stuff.

Setting the scene and doing a bit of reading. Begin Act 1– Character introductions of the Nobles.
