Tuesday/Wednesday 7-8 March- English 9
Today you need to start putting together your presentation using TouchCast. You will be able to pull in Google items, YouTube, Prezi, and many other things by adding a vApp. I have one green screen corner set up, but there are 2 smaller pieces of green fabric you can use also. Remember, this needs to be 10 minutes long and connect all of your sources through Hero’s Journey and theme.
Monday 6 March- English 9
It’s time to begin wrapping up the research part of this project. Tomorrow we will be back in the classroom, using TouchCast to create your presentations.
Today, you should first make sure you have enough sources and that those sources connect to your themes and the Hero’s Journey. You should also be able to explain these connections in depth with examples.
Also, you need a properly formatted Works Cited page. Remember the activity we did last week.
Friday #22 is posted in Classroom. It’s the final book check-in. If you have not finished your book, that needs to happen before you complete Friday #22.
Fill out the form in the last 8 minutes of class.
Thursday 9 February- English 9
New seats. These are your groups for the project. Make a banner for your team. Include a team name, a mascot, and group members names.
First, let’s look at some art. Romare Beardon did a series of collages based on The Odyssey.
Next, let’s go over the project. This is in Classroom, but I want everyone to look at this together. So, no screens right now.
Lastly, talk to your group about the book that you are reading. Discuss character and conflict in particular.

Before we go to the lab, I will demonstrate how to use ThinkLink and PicCollage on the iPads. These can be helpful tools for building a collage. Today is another workday for the Setting Project which is posted in Classroom.
