Today we will be adding to the memoir project. With revisions and polishing, this can be a section of your memoir.

Write about your experiences of school this week with no technology. Make sure to include your thoughts as well as WWTPSAT.

Here’s a possible way to start: “I checked my phone and saw that we have an unexpected extra day of break because of a technology outage. OK, what does that actually mean?…”

You can go in two directions with this. First way keeps it realistic and tells what happens. Second way goes in a metaphorical direction and uses something else to tell the story. Your choice.

Disregard the previous one.

English 9H- Keep working on your nonfiction book notes. If you want to try using your phone to look for articles, that is also a good use of your time.

AP Lang – Work day! Mega Project or Anthropocene.

Humanities – Writing day! You can use today’s writing as a piece of your memoir, just make sure it’s final draft ready when you take a pic of it.

Remember SPACE CAT!

Here are some ideas for what to write about when taking notes.

• Main idea/ claim
• Evidence used to prove the claim
• Confusing idea
• Contradictory ideas
• Word usage (diction)
• Sentence structure (syntax)
• Author tone
• Author bias
• Connection to other learning
• Point of view, esp a shift of POV

Remember, you don’t need to summarize. Instead think about the point being made, how it’s being made, and what else it makes you think about.
