English 9H– Sit in groups of THREE. The assignment is in Classroom, but I want you to work on it in groups. When your group is finished, snap a pic, drop it on the doc, and turn it in.
Future stuff. If you want (and only IF you want), find a nonfiction book about anything you are interested in. You will read and analyze that book next quarter. Only requirement is that it’s a full length book and you are interested in the topic. Also, if you want (and only IF you want), take a copy of Lord of the Flies. We will be reading this book also next quarter.

As long as y’all get your stuff done…
English 9H- Thesis workshop.
Your paper should investigate how your book fits the elements of dystopian fiction. It should also connect theme to the author’s criticism of the society in which he is writing.
First, write your thesis on a piece of paper. Next, look around. Make a silent appointment with someone at a different table. Switch papers, read each other’s thesis. Does the thesis include the things above? If not, would it still be able to alert the reader to what the prompt asks you to write about?
Repeat the above process a second time. After you have 2 people’s feedback, go back to your seat. Now, continue working on the rough draft, which you will turn in tomorrow.
