Today we will learn about the story structure known as the Hero’s Journey.  We will start with the Golden Potato video and take notes on Hero’s Journey.

Make a 12-box organizer to help chart the hero’s journey as we watch the short video about a family who is lost in time. There will be some variation, but the basic story structure is the same.

As you read more in your book for tomorrow’s small group discussion, think about this story structure as it applies to your particular novel.
