Last week we read Antony and Brutus’ speeches at Caesar’s funeral. This week’s Friday writing is about that scene.
First, we will re-play that scene. Think about how each speaker tries to persuade the audience.
Next, we will investigate what FW9 is all about and get a start on it.
After that, continue reading Act 3.

To examine open response essays and identify quality analysis and style.

To apply learning gleaned from samples to one’s own essays that will be written in the future.
Tomorrow in Seminar, we will be pitting your timed writings head-to-head and crowing a champion for this assignment.
To prepare, we will be reading the timed writings today. In your notebook, create a two-column chart to record your responses. One column for the ID# and one column for your response. Mark each essay as high, mid, or low. Do not write on the essays!
