Julius Caesar–> Continue reading.

Today we will work with the sections titled Polaroids and Broccoli. Your task is to find examples of FIVE of the vocabulary terms. Write the example and a brief explanation on an index card and place it in the pocket chart. You might not find an example of every one of the terms, but there are lots to find.

Last day to work on rough draft. If you are finished, pair up with someone else who is finished. Read each other’s essay and suggest revisions. Please turn in your essay when you are finished so I can give you feedback.

Rough draft- If you would like to extend that due date to Monday, that’s fine.

Now, keep working on that draft!

1. Find your paper with the one passage that you selected for today’s class. Tape it on the wall wherever you can find a clear space.

2. Go to another paper besides your own.

3. Find the ONE most important word in the passage. Circle it. Write why it’s the most important.

4. Replace that word with another that changes the meaning. Explain how it changes the meaning.

5. Repeat.

6. Repeat

7. Get your own paper back. Reflect on what was written there. Evaluate what you learned and thought of today’s activity. Turn it in on the cart.
