Final Draft Top 10

Make sure you are following these Top 10 points when you revise your rough draft.

1. Avoid quote dropping by introducing your quoted material.

2. You must include citations even for paraphrased info.

3. The works cited page must match in-text citations. If it’s on one, it should be on the other.

4. Don’t include a random call to action in conclusion.

5. A research paper should be in third person POV only.

6. The final draft should not include any questions.

7. Keep a formal tone throughout the whole paper.

8. The topic sentence needs to control content of paragraph.

9. Use transitions to move from one idea from another.

10. Keep consistent and logical verb tenses throughout the paper.
