Over the weekend you chose a columnist to study for the course of the semester. Today you will be reading your article on the columnist of your choice.You will apply what you learn from your columnist in your own writing.
Today, read through the article you have brought with you and annotate for stylistic choices the author makes.
Use the rhetoric triangle to show how the author maintains (or doesn’t) his or her ethos through a balanced (or not) argument (logos, pathos). If you need to review the video from Thursday, please do so. Just use headphones so everyone doesn’t hear you.
Write a brief paragraph at the end of the article explaining the author’s style and how it is effective. Turn in through Classroom at the end of the hour.
