In order to effectively persuade someone to fund your business proposal, you need to use the rhetorical triangle, made up of ethos, pathos, and logos. If this sounds familiar from Content Reading, fantastic!

First, let’s begin with the basics in this video from Shmoop.

Quick practice- With a partner, convince me to buy a certain kind of car using the three sides of the Rhetorical Triangle.

Now, let’s look at a longer, more in-depth explanation of persuasive techniques. We will use these devices to write business proposals.
