Today you will practice your scenes. First, assign parts. Then begin reading your lines. Think carefully about how to say your lines, where to stand and how to sound convincing. You will need to practice a few times before filming.

Make a graphic of some kind which visually represents the four plots of Midsummer. Your graphic must show the characters, conflict, and resolution of the conflict. These may be created on paper or digitally.

Theme– Go to the correct link for your class. Double click anywhere on the page. First put your name, and then add your idea for theme of Midsummer. Also include a short explanation of why that is the theme.

Friday #29– Go to Classroom and see what this is all about. I’ll answer any questions tomorrow.

1. Work on Friday #28. This needs to be more than one paragraph. Think about adding more evidence and explanation to your writing.

2. Acting scenes. You have been assigned a scene and a group. You will be performing and recording video of your scenes. Then we will watch your scenes next week.

30 years ago yesterday an event to raise money for homelessness and hunger took place. Hands Across America was an ambitious attempt to form a human chain across the country.

Midsummer- As we begin Act 5, Theseus and Hippolyta are deciding which entertainment to choose for their wedding feast. Theseus wants to see the Rustics’ performance of Pyramus and Thisbe, against Philostrate’s advice. Let’s pause and see the Pyramus and Thisbe play performed by The Beatles. Yes, The Beatles performed this skit from Midsummer. Very strange.

Today we read Act IV. It’s a short act that focuses on fixing the problems created in previous acts.

We will start with a high school production. Then watch the Elvis version.
